Binational tutoring

The Graduate School offers in addition the possibility of participating in a bi-national research tutoring scheme. The bi-national programme draws on a large pool of senior researchers and experienced supervisors from all Partner Universities (see annex I). The possibility of short research visits to other Partner Universities is also included. The application process takes place through the programme coordination. Once a formal, written application is received, the programme coordinator is in charge of contacting the partner institutions and finding, if possible, a tutor adequate for the task of supporting the supervision of the whole or part of the dissertation of the applicant. The scope, duration and concrete goals of the tutoring period are highly dependent on the specific needs of each candidate. In case a research visit to the campus of another partner is planned, participants receive support from the coordination office in collaboration with the respective international offices and research promotion units of the partner institutions in order to identify possible sources of funding (e.g. national programmes, like Stibet I, or internal funds for research visits).
